Story

Reason for leaving homeland – living in U.K- an overcwded country . Young and ambitious- keen to suceed. Pleased to get away from the Cold War

About the Journey – Fantastic . Flew on one of the first commercial flights across the Pacific

Impressions on Arrival – Knew I had made the correct decision. Only wished I had been born here. Business Opportunies were unlimited. Great country to bring up a large family. Truly the lucky country.

First settled in Melbourne , married my English fiancee. Both came from middle class families in U.K.

We had six boys who have all enjoyed good lives and well educated.

They are proud Australians – Now settled in Brisbane.
