Story

Thomas Rawlings the Younger

Thomas Rawlings arrived in New South Wales on the ship “Parmella” on 16th November 1832.convicted of Robbing Master, transported for 14 Years.

He was born in Chatteris, Cambridgeshire in 1811, having 8 siblings.

His father was Thomas and his mother was Elizabeth.

Thomas married Mary Ann (Parker) Slattery in 1850.

They had 6 children.

Elizabeth ( Oldfield ) 1851 – 1949

Thomas James ( Sarah Curtis ) 1854-1946

Richard 1856 – 1857

Mary Ann ( Thurbon ) 1857 – 1942

Robert John 1859 – 1871

William Richard ( Theresa Smith ) 1861 – 1947

Thomas contracted to lengthen the Cooma Bridge 80 feet and sundry other works in three months time ending 31stMarch 1859, for the sum of 140 Pounds
