Story

I was born in New Caledonia, the Dream Island of Javanese parents brought to New Caledonia as labour – I am one of 11 children and grew up on a farm. At the age of 17 I went to France and played 1st division football. In France I studied law but did not like it. I came to Australia in 1984 with my first wife. I lost my daughter aged 14 in a road accident. It is a privilege to live in country such as Australia that allows me to mix and relate to so many diverse culture. I am now married to an Irish woman have a son Sean, who intends to be PM of this country.

C’est la vie – Au revoir.
