Story

I was watching Sydney 2000 Olympic Games opening ceremony on my Television in Pakistan when I first imagined Australia as an excellent place to live in. In 2003 when I decided to migrate because of decline in business, Australia was my first choice before U.K. And Canada, because of weather similarity in Australia and Pakistan.

I was further motivated when one of my friends Adnan (Dani) told me that his brother-in-law was migrating to Australia with family by Skilled Migration Visa. I started searching on internet about Australian Immigration options. I found several Migration Agent websites and official Australian Immigration website (DIMIA). I started reading information on those websites carefully to see if we qualified for Australian immigration. After several days of intensive reading and research on web pages, answer was YES.

I discussed the matter with my better half and we started sorting out information and documents about our skill assessment application as first step of Australian immigration process. We got positive assessment and logged Skilled Visa application.

We were granted permanent residency visas and we all four members of our family Myself, Wife, kids Jaffar and Rida landed on Sydney airport in 2005. I kept all of my correspondence with the immigration department even postal mail envelopes in my hand luggage ready for immigration if the need arose.

I cannot forget that moment when we were welcomed with an open heart into Australia by an immigration officer on Sydney Airport. We became Australian citizens as soon as we could. Now we are family of five with daughter Zaira born in Australia. Now we feel Australia is homeland for our future generations.

God Bless all the people who come in Australia to live a better and peaceful life.
