Story
Though both born in England our parents emigrated to Rhodesia in 1947 and 1953 so we grew up there and it was our home. We left in 1983 when it was Zimbabwe because we could see it would be intolerable for us to live under the new regime.
We left through Botswana and went into Boputhatswana in South Africa for three years while we made application and completed all the formalities to emigrate to Australia in January 1987.
We love the feeling of safety again and the beauty of this vast continent. We have settled in Queensland where we don’t have snow and enjoy bountiful sunshine and great beaches.
