Story

Reason for leaving homeland – For a better quality of life, better weather, to get out of the rat race in a city called London, to live and not just to exist in a place, to be closer to nature and to be able to get away from people.

About the Journey – Exciting, apprehensive slightly, felt very independent and unique as no one has done this in my family to Australia before in my lifetime.

Impressions on Arrival – A weight having lifted off my shoulders, very happy, however also felt nervous not knowing what will happen and felt somewhat alone and emotions were up and down all the time for at least the first 12 months. Overall felt this is the closest to paradise on Earth to me, I felt the landscape and general ambience of the place was and still is familiar to me like I had been here before, the smells, the sounds and the weather felt liberating.
