Story
George and his wife Maria (nee Faithful) departed England for a better life in Australia.
They sailed from London on the 11th Jan 1844 on board the barque “Sea Queen”.
Their daughter, Elizabeth, was born at sea on the 18th of Feb 1844.
Arrived Port Phillip, Melbourne, Australia, on 15 April 1844.
George II and Maria were married at St Mary’s, Portsea Island, Portsmith, England on 16 July 1843.
Went on to have seven more children plus one more child who was adopted.
George II died (accidental drowning in Yarra River) in April 1854, aged 35 years.
Maria died on 16 March 1890 in Richmond Victoria, aged 74 years
