Story

Reason for leaving homeland – We had just married In England and wanted to start our married life independent of well meaning family

About the Journey – We sailed from Southampton – departed 22 October 1974 – came via Canary Islands, Cape Town, Fremantle, Melbourne and after 4 weeks arrived in Sydney on 22 November 1974.

Impressions on Arrival – Sailed into Sydney Harbour – Fantastic – something we will never forget. Malcolm had work within 4 days. Gail was desperate to go back (I suddenly felt very lonely) but once I had a job (in March) felt at home.

Now nearly 35 years and 2 children later we wouldn’t be anywhere else. 2 very proud Aussies.
