Story
I needed a new start in a country that recognised my skills and contribution. The political situation in my country was now becoming very uncertain and I felt that the future of my children would now be compromised.
It was a journey into the unknown as I had never been to Australia. There had been so many negative press releases over time in my home country about Australia.
I was very impressed when I got here, especially the warmth and understanding of the people here. I immediately arranged to have my family join me – they came over a few months later.
We are all now planning to become Australian citizens.
