Story
a quick aside re this family. Augie Knop is one of my forebears, I am of the Eaton family originating from Lower Longley. My line of family is maternal Haigh (Moggeridge), paternal Eaton, maternal grandmother Julia Cohen (ex Colebrook), maternal grandfather a Royal Naval deserter Alfred Sidney Haigh (Moggeridge?). My paternal grandfather was Charles Eaton of Lower Longley, my paternal grandmothers were unsure of, but descended from the Knop family. We had two paternal “nans”, Nanna Minn and Nanna Budd, history unsure. my research indicates some lineage to the families Vince, Fehlbergs, Tomkaveitch, Krause, mainly from down the Huon area. Would be keen to compare notes with anyone interested. len
