Reason for leaving homeland – lack of jobs
About the Journey – my parents and I travelled by sea on the “Oceania” from Genova in Italy to Australia. We went through the Suez Canal, Ceylon then Melbourne and arrived in Sydney September 2nd 1956
Impressions on Arrival – my parents felt isolated and not knowing the language was very difficult.
