Story

Connie left Malta for a better life and to reunite the family as husband Gerald and sons Joe and Edwin migrated a year earlier.

The family travelled by an Italian ship via suez canal. The boat stopped at Eden only, sailing straight to Sydney at Pyrmont. There was a great celebration on board when the ship crossed the equator.

Connie was reunited with her husband and the two sons who travelled out with their father.

Home was at Rozelle and then, after purchase, at Balmain, not far from the Hospital across the road from Gladstone Park in Darvall Street. The children attended St Augustine’s Parish school.

Connie remained at the Balmain Home until her husband, Gerald passed away in 1986.

Connie had 10 Children, 20 grand children and numerous great grandchildren.

Connie passed away in 1987.
