Story
Linda together with her mother, sister and 2 brothers left San Zeno in 1936 to join her father Giuseppe and brother Bruno Favetta. Giuseppe and Bruno had migrated earlier in 1930 to Griffith NSW.
The journey by ship took around 40 days and Linda’s mother Virginia was very anxious to meet up with her husband whom she hadn’t seen for 6 years.
Linda couldn’t speak the language, but soon learned by attending Yoogali Public School. After the arrival 2 further children were born Luigi and Nellie.
When Linda was 14 the family moved to Terrigal NSW where they bought property. It is still owned today by Linda’s brothers.
Linda married Angelo Di Rosa in 1953 and had 4 children a boy, Imperio and 3 daughters Deanna, Angela and Cristina. They moved from Terrigal back to Griffith in 1979 and Linda still resides there today.
