Story

Reason for leaving homeland – To look for a job change and experience a different way of life with improved weather and job opportunities and travel. We were married on 24th August 1963 and left by ship two weeks later.

We came by Sitmar Line Castel Felice and spent our honeymoon on the ship. Our cabin was in the bowels of the ship but fortunately had a cabin to ourselves. The food was good and we had an enjoyable time with many young families also travelling to Australia.

The sight of Fremantle was great. We were hanging out for meals other than chicken, got a job in one week also a flat, and enjoyed the different life worked hard and are very gratefull for the opportunity.
