Story
Bruno was born in February 1948 in One` Di Fonte, a town in the province of Treviso Veneto in Italy. He is the youngest son of Florindo and Luigia, brother to Giorgio and Fedele Reginato. When Bruno was at the age of seventeen he boarded the ship Marconi. He arrived in Sydney in September of 1965 and made his home in Griffith N.S.W. where his uncles and aunties lived. Bruno’s parents were not happy that he wanted to go to Australia, but like most migrants, it would be only for a few years to make some money.
Bruno took his first job at Colla Bros as a metal engineer. He then met Giustina Ballestin and they later married in 1972.
In 1973 their first son Lorenzo was born.
Bruno realised Australia was the land of opportunity for his wife and child so he became a farmer, buying a fruit farm in Yenda.
In 1977 Bruno and Giustina had another son Michael and then in 1981 a daughter Deanne.
Following many successful years of fruit farming, Bruno and his sons purchased two more properties, this time diversifying to broad acre farming.
The family continue to work together and have also been blessed with grandchildren.
