Story
My name is Moo; my family name is Paheh.I was born in Thailand. My birthday is 24th October, 1991. I am 17 years old. I have five siblings, one brother and four sisters; I am the fourth child in my family. My favourite colors are black and sky-blue. My favourite food is fruit: I like oranges, bananas and grapes.
I have been in Thailand 16 years ago, but I don\’t have an opportunity to do anything that I want. We lived in Thailand for more than ten years but Karen people were not allowed to go outside the camp, we were like pigs in a sty. Thai people and Burmese government are the same; they make life very difficult for our Karen nation. Our Karen nation had to flee and a lot died because of the Burmese government. Burmese soldiers fought our villagers and burned our country. And then we fled to another country in Thailand. Thai people did not allow us to be their citizens.
And then I came to Australia to be happy and safe from the Burmese government, and now we have an opportunity to do anything that we want. I thank God for letting me come safely to Australia.
