Story

Henry and Peter Rossler arrived in Australia in November 1948 aboard the “Derna” after a 10 week eventful passage from Marseille, France.

They were born in Prague, Czechoslovakia, and were the only members of their family to survive the Holocaust – including 3 years in a Polish Ghetto and a year in concentration camps including Auschwitz.

They were grateful to Australia for offering them the opportunity to build a new life and raise a family.

Henry became a successful architect and Peter a research chemist.’
