Story

Frances Myrah Ewins, also known as Myrah Ewens, arrived in Brisbane on 5 November 1874 as a free passenger on the ship, the ‘Darling Downs’, which had departed London on 25 July 1874. She was single and aged 21. She subsequently married Charles W.D. Bridgeman in Dalby, Queensland, on March 9, 1875 and settled in the Gowrie Little Plains area near Toowoomba. They had a large family of 10 daughters and one son living, each of whom had large families and settled all over the Darling Downs in Queensland.
