Story
I left France in search of warmer weather, wide open spaces and adventure.
On the long plane trip here, I was looking forward to actually experience what I had already heard and read about Australia.
My first impression of Australia was of the heat. It was a hot 36 degrees on arrival in Sydney on 16 November 1982. Then I drove directly to Canberra where it was 40 degrees in the shade, dry and dusty. I certainly got the warmer weather that I was looking for!!
