Story

We left England for Australia because we saw little future in the UK for our children. We were part of a family farm of 400 acres, supporting parents, elder brother and his family and us. Rosemary grew up in Sheffield, an industrial town in Yorkshire. Frank was born in Partington, Cheshire and moved to Lincolnshire when he was 6 years.

We flew from London to Sydney with our 11 week old son, Adam.

The beautiful blue skies and the splendour of Sydney Harbour. The friendliness of the people and the vastness of the country as we drove west. We bought a farm west of Forbes in central west NSW. We were warmly welcomed into the community but our life on the farm was filled with heartache as we battled drought, flood and mice plague. We had two more sons and despite the hardship have never regretted the move.
