Story
I, Rajni married Hem Sidharth’s father in 1985 and migrated to Australia. I came to Sydney where I have lived from 8 February 1986. Hem was born here at Ryde Hospital and we have remained here.
I had a number of misgivings about my migration. I loved my work in Bangalore and was afraid that I may not find any work that I would like so much. But I was thrilled at the prospect of living in a new country and of beginning another chapter in my life. I had my son, Hem Sidharth 10 months later. He loves Australia and believes that he is Australian.
I was impressed with the tidiness and beauty of Sydney. I loved the greenery and the neat streets. I thought Sydney was scenically spectacular. I still think so.
